Members of the McHenry Garden Club helped youngsters celebrate Flag Day on Friday June 10, 2011 by planting pots of red, white and blue flowers alongside our American flag. Students learned about plant parts and flag traditions at the McHenry Public Library program. Club members Joyce Matuszewich, Jane Thomas, Judy Walker, Jean Schiller, and Children's Librarian Sharon Borland helped with planting, stories and information.
