Program: Members-Only Picnic July 15 featured Chef Zak of Duke's Alehouse who made a tasty gazpacho of fresh locally grown vegetables.

Tom Micheletti, owner of The Hosta Patch in Deer Park, presented a program on hostas. He has published several articles on the subject and is a member of several hosta societies. See his website HostaPatch.com

SPECIAL NOTE: Marlene Frisbie from Hoffie Nursery (October featured presenter) will be doing a program on Container Gardens at the Woodstock Public Library on Saturday Sept 11 at 10am. Registration for this program begins on Sept 1 by calling 815-338-0542.

Tom & Kathryn Hausman of the Northeastern Illinois Rose Society will be speaking on history, varieties and horticultural practices of roses. Kathryn Hausman is the president of the Northeastern Illinois Rose Society.

Program: Thursday, October 21 at 6:45pm
Marlene from Hoffie Nursery will be speaking on container gardening. Depending on what plants are available at the nursery in Oct, we will each design a container (we need to bring our own containers) or if the plants are limited, she will design one container and raffle it off.
