McHenry Garden Club FundraisersMcHenry Garden Club holds two major fundraising events per year. These annual events have become the talk of the town.
In the spring we host the Container Garden Gala featuring containers planted during demonstrations by local nurseries and florists. In December we host a Holiday Floral Extravaganza and watch lovely holiday floral arrangements being made on stage by local florists. Audience members' ticket stubs are drawn to bring home the lovely creations. Both fundraisers include an informative show, discount coupons good at the featured florists, and Bake Sale goodies and refreshments. All garden club members participate preparing and displaying signs and posters, making yummy baked goods, and a committee also makes delightful gift baskets for a separate drawing for charity.
